HI!!
I’m Angie Thayer, the trainer behind Wiggle Butts and Training. I specialize in positive reinforcement training, and when needed, I can also take a balanced approach depending on what your dog needs. I work with all dogs and behavior types, and I take a very hands-on approach to help you learn how to communicate clearly with your dog through training.

I’ve owned my company for about 7 years, and I have a true passion for dogs. Growing up with a chronic illness, I often felt misunderstood and frustrated because people didn’t always understand what I was trying to express. That experience gave me a deep awareness of communication and connection.
One day, I was in a shelter and saw dogs—especially large working breeds like pit bulls—being misunderstood in the same way. That really stayed with me. Coming from my own experience of being misunderstood, I wanted to understand more. I started learning dog body language so I could better see how dogs feel and why they behave the way they do.

Over time, I began recognizing the reasons behind behaviors that most people overlook or misinterpret. Knowing that dogs feel understood when I work with them means everything to me—it’s the foundation of everything I do.

I’ve also started a retail brand called Wiggle Butt Creations, where I design and create gear tailored to both your dog’s needs and your personal style.

My goal is to make dog training fun, easy on your brain, and a natural part of your everyday life—because that’s what having a dog should feel like.
